This present study has the goal to analyse the predictive value of a tool designed for the detection of major behaviour disorders in the school environment (CIPEC). From a conceptual approximation the study field and scientific contributions linked to the topic are delimited. An empiric investigation is realized through a sample of 2098 students in Primary School (between 6 and 12 years old). The results obtained conferm that the professorate can inform - with high levels of reliability - of the prevalence, as well as correctly classify in certain groups or levels of intensity the major disorders of behaviour. – (International Journal of Developmental and Educational Psychology = INFAD Revista de Psicologia ; ano 25, № 1-vol. 2) .
