During the last years we are assisting to a continuous and progressive incriment in the number of elder population that will grow exponentially in the future, not only in relation with whole population but also in absolute numbers. According to the United Nation`s forecast and attending to Intermediate-Fertility theories, everywhere around the world, the elder population will globally increase from 16,2% in 1990 to 19,7% in 2025. Unless proper measures will be adopted by goverments to face the problem of population`s growth and aging, this could result a triggered bomb announcing a great disaster in the next few decades. Disengagement Theory`s supporters illustrate that it occurs irreversibly in cases of extreme poverty and also in old age by different means. When these two conditions merge together, the issue acquires a s0cially tragic aspect hard to solve.
