This research is devoted to the study of paid work of volunteers in the field of care for the elderly in Russia and Germany. The specificity of volunteer work is its moral saturation, which is reflected in the ways of remuneration of volunteers, expressed both in financial indicators and in intangible bonuses.Relevance of the study. In today's information space, we are increasingly hearing about the importance of volunteering for the development of cities, individual regions, countries and the world community as a whole. In the information agenda there are arguments about the scale of this phenomenon, about the benefits that it brings to society. Every year more and more citizens participate in volunteer activities. In the conditions of precarization of employment, commercialization of social services and the crisis of social states in European countries, as well as in the situation of reforming the social sphere in Russia, volunteering becomes a zone of vulnerability in the space of opportunities. In this connection, there is an urgent need to study this social phenomenon. The involvement, training and organization of volunteers require effective management of these processes.
